I originally purchased an identical set about a year ago, and really liked them. They had a nice weight, almost a sturdy linen feel. They washed beautifully in cold water/line dried. (Line drying is just my preference.)Fast forward to these. I bought another set because of a busy house over the holiday. I washed them the same. The red color bled, turning the white background pink. The hem and stitching are uneven, more like a basting stitch. The fabric is thin and crepe-like, and puckered with the first wash. Even after ironing they did not lay smoothly, or have the nice weight and feel of the previous purchase. I would like to think that it is just one bad batch, but I also purchased these (DII CAMZ11149 100% Cotton, Machine Washable Everyday Basic Buffet Napkin, 20x20, Zig Dobby Stripe). While there are no dyes to bleed, the overall quality was equally poor.I am starting to rethink my opinion of DII as a good basic, reliable home brand.

I decided to stop using paper napkins as another way to reduce my carbon footprint and after doing much research online, ordered a set of these napkins. They are wonderful. Even though they are cotton there was very little shrinkage, so they are still a really nice size. They don't have to be ironed unless you really want to and they clean up really well. I've been using them about a month now and have been able to get every potential stain out in the wash. The stitching is good and still strong after many washings. I will be ordering another set soon.

I'm comparing the quality of these napkins to those I've purchased at Pier One and use daily. These napkins are thicker than the Pier One napkins. The print is vibrant and crisp. I washed them before the first use on the lightly soiled cycle. They came out very wrinkled which was no surprise. I ironed them damp and some of the coloring came off onto the iron. You couldn't tell by looking at them at all, they still look very good. I ironed my white napkins afterwards and there was a little green on the first two napkins. I'd definitely recommend these and expect them to last for a long time.

After reading the first review I wasn't sure if I wanted to buy them or not. SO glad I did! These napkins are vibrant in color and very good quality. Even after washing several times they came out looking great.The only reason I gave them a four star rating is because of the absorbency, but they are no different than the napkins you find at better restaurants.

Super cute - this is after washing! Not that much ironing needed. True to color kelly or lime greenish and true to size. Fits in napkin rings. Great quality. I use them for content photos of my small business and for my family.

They just wrinkle up in a sort of waxy weirdness when you wash them. Like there's some chemical stopping them from even acting like a normal linen or cloth napkin. Pretty. Scratchy. you could iron them and they'd look fine.

Beautiful looking, but a ton of work after they have been used and need washing. They come out of the dryer (on low) a wrinkled mess. Even after ironing they are as nice looking as they arrived. Any suggestions?

Love these generous sized napkins! Bought happy, pretty leaf pattern. They’re all cotton so don’t look ironed when out of dryer but very useful. Bought for reuse with napkin rings so not using paper napkins with Covid19 and conservation. Love happy look!

These are really nice. Great quality, not thin and as I hoped.

Super cute. Nice, large size. Wash up nicely but do need a bit of ironing after washing.

Nice napkins, a bit stiff in my opinion. I washed them and they didn't fade. The only problem is that the label gun left big holes in the fabric, quite noticeable.
