An excellent documentary of the life of Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche, truly a transcendent spiritual being if there ever was one. My heart sings to know that someone of his nature and wisdom have walked the earth and taught so many; I only wish I could have met him personally. Well done, Neten Chokling, for the writing and direction! Well done all who had a part in putting this movie together.

Brilliant
An excellent documentary. The detail into this wonderful teacher's life is exceptional. The photography, media and narration make this an excellent, intriguing story and teaching tool. It is both historical and inspirational. This is one DVD I shall review several times and glean all I can from Brilliant Moon's more subtle lessons. It imparts wisdom and enlightenment.I see sometimes one's life purpose will unfold in spite of our own desire for our own life path if we but listen to the call. This man wanted to be a monk but his destiny was so much greater. May we be so humble as to dare to follow our true path.

I love this movie! It's wonderfully heartwarming and inspiring. One of my very favorites. If you never heard of HH Dilgo Khyense Rinpoche, treat yourself to this movie.By means of some animation , news reels, testimony from his students, wife, his grandson Shechen Rabjam Rinpoche, HH the Dalai Lama, the Queen Mother of Bhutan, this movie is a testimony to the life and teachings of a highly revered Buddhist meditation master , teacher and scholar.It portrays the formative events of Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche's life, and the experiences that lead him to mature into the the warmest, most realized meditation master and teacher of the 20th century.

Wonderful account of a huge Tibetan manifestation of the Holy Spirit. There’s a heart piercing moment of such clarity and lovingkindness that only compassion and gratitude are left as the scaffolding of one’s lifestream.

I thought it was beautiful however the animated part, sort of took away from the real pictures...The devotion of these Lamas is something we have no clue in the Western world...they are so deeply committed to their believe system and life style...it is a wonderful way to experience Their world...R. Gere did a wonderful job narrating...

Cuando terminé de ver la película, me brotaban las lágrimas de los ojos. Neten Choklin es un gran director, muy creativo. La música es bellísima y muy emotiva. Después de verla, quedé lleno de inspiración por Dilgo Rinpoché y me enteré de un montón de cosas de él que no sabía.Los testimonios de sus discípulos son notables acerca de su bondad innata y su buen humor.¡Qué alegría que tan gigantesco Lama siga irradiando con fuerza el ejemplo de su realización!

What can I say? Dilgo Khentse Rinpoche is one of the greatest masters of our time. His words written so eloquently appeal to both devout buddhists and lay people everywhere. Great archival film footage of times, traditions, and places in Tibet that are sadly now gone through the Chinese occupation. Well narrated by Richard Gere. I will watch this again and again. Om mani peme hung!

A Truly Magnificent Life
This is the celebration of life. A beautifully told documentary of a remarkable man. I watched this just prior to watching Kundun and Seven Years in Tibet. Watching Brilliant Moon first helped to make the other movies come to life.

Good documentary/ biography.However ,you need to be a buddhist to understand what is going on for most of the time.a narration covering this would have been helpful and some transmissions of Rinpoches teachings during the story would have Been nice.it just felt a little too closed for the general public for me and could have came across a bit less elitist.

Beautifully made documentary about Dilgo Khyntse Rinpoche, beautiful footage and interviews with the Masters,one teaching from Dilgo Khyntse Rinpoche and alot of footage and information about his life and work. Narratedby Richard Gere and The Dalai Lama and Sogyal Rinpoche speak about him.
