Very Nice Wallet Case for the New Moto G7
Right after receiving my new Moto G7 from Google Fi, I knew I had to get a case for it as soon as possible. Its smooth glassy surface on the back could make it susceptible to drops, so I had to get something to protect it. I was taking it to work in a plastic ziplock bag, but it simply was not enough, as well as being totally inadequate. For my previous phone, a Nexus 6P, I bought a wallet case and liked it. It's very practical, as it protects the screen (most of the time) and you can carry a little cloth in it to wipe the screen. So, when I saw the Hoomil case, I knew this was the one to get. I actually paid a little bit more to get it the next day, and Amazon delivered as stated! Ordered at 11 p.m., and received it by 11 a.m. the next day! How do they do it?Anyway, the case appears to be well-made, and feels nice to the touch. I like the light brown interior. All of the holes line up with that of the phone, so no problem there. It closes with a magnet. The stand function works as it should. For the price I paid, it is a good value. Hopefully it will give good service while protecting my Moto G7.

Good product. Could be great.
I bought this for my Moto G7 Plus and began using it almost immediately. My last 3 smartphones have had similar cases, as I like to be able to keep ID and a gym pass with me, as well as a place to keep parking passes and single coupons for the day. This one was nearly perfectly designed to fit the contours of my G7, and it also folds well in my pocket. It's sturdy enough to do it's job, and at the same time isn't too heavy, and doesn't add too much weight to the phone. It's very easy to pull the phone out of the case for SIM card swaps (or to add/remove MicroSD cards) while still being very snug for the body of the phone. Zero danger of having the phone fall out or get loose. The outside of the case is smooth, and has a small magnetic grip along one side to help keep it shut. This grip is fine except for when I put the phone in my pocket, as it sometimes slips off, since it's not too thick. I would definitely make the grip piece a little stronger next time around. For flipping the grip back over, some might prefer it's current slightly thin design. All of the phone's cameras and ports and mic holes fit perfectly in place in the case overall. My compliments to the attention to detail here. The other small flaw, and the reason I don't give it 5 stars is that once you put four cards in the case on the left side, and start to carry it around, after a few days you see the left side of the case (the cover section) on the inside start to buckle a little bit a little sooner than it should. For most phone users, this will not be an issue, but since my last two cases (different materials) did not do this, I think I am a little spoiled. If you are a heavy phone user, and don't keep a lot in the case, then this is a great case, but if you use the case as a secondary wallet or wallet replacement, you might want to make sure you don't mind some bending. In terms of phone protection, short of situations that involve water or any kind of liquid, this is an excellent case. Maybe not the best of all time, but very good, and at a very decent price.

Tough & Attractive Case. Love It!
I spend a lot of time outdoors or in the garage working on stuff. I get that upsetting "smack" sound every so often as my phone slides out of my shirt pocket and hits a concrete floor, rock, or whatever. There is never any damage to the phone. I had a virtually identical case for my previous phone and when I got a Moto G7, this the ONLY case I went looking for. It fits the G7 perfectly and is really classy looking. If you want a case that does something other than look cute, get this one.

Great case for the money and fits well.
I bought this case about a month ago as I had to replace my old Nexus 5X. I used a similar case on the Nexus by a different company, but this one is by far the best I've had in terms of feel and quality. The PU leather exterior is more durable and wear resistant than other cases I've owned (at least so far), and the texture gives it an almost suede-like feel. I really like the look of the two tone leather--it's classy. Also, the interior tan/brown PU leather is quite soft and doesn't look all that much different from genuine un-dyed leather wallets--it's perhaps twice as rough as a soft leather but the color is close. It's worth noting that there are no less than 3 magnets in this case: One in the front cover where the clasp meets, one in the clasp itself, and one at the base of the clasp on the rear. This WILL interfere with the phone's internal compass and your orientation relative to north will be displayed inaccurately on map apps. If that's problematic, you may want to consider getting a different case. Unfortunately, this may be a problem universal to all wallet-style cases, so your choices are likely to be limited. I'm not quite sure why they added the third magnet on the rear of the case, and if I had my preference, it would be to remove it, but the others are still likely to interfere with magnetic orientation by the phone regardless. One other relatively minor drawback is that the interior PU leather is quite stretchy and the wallet area for cash or miscellaneous flat items is fairly smooth, so some things may not stay put until the case has had time to rest and return to its previous shape (i.e. recently inserted items will probably fall out for a few hours). I plan on carrying one or two SD cards in the wallet portion, but I'm not sure how well they'll stay. If the material were somewhat less stretchy and resistant to displacement it would make this case just that much more usable but it's not especially problematic. This also applies to the card slots which are unfortunately VERY narrow and are unlikely to fit a card comfortably for long periods of time without damaging the lining. It's worth knowing before you buy this case if you tend to carry things like a credit card or driver's license in your wallet cases. I don't, or at least not often, so I don't especially care. If it bothered me, I'd just stick the cards in the part intended for carrying cash. The rubberized plastic/silicone material used to hold the phone in place is a little softer than others I've used, but this is a good thing. It also doesn't smell bad either (odd, I know, but that was a complaint I had with others). I feel that removing the phone for cleaning and returning it to the case is easier with this one, so I'm not concerned about potential damage to the phone via bending or prying; it comes out fairly easily but still requires a little bit of force. The front cover of the case is held in place a little tighter than other products by the clasp. I like this feature because I don't stuff a lot of items in my wallet cases; if you have a number of cards (see above; they might not fit), plus a driver's license, and a few other things you want to carry (cash, etc), you may find this case to be a little wanting for space. Although the magnet is quite strong, the clasp CAN slide off the front fairly easily with some force should you stuff the wallet full of goodies.Overall, my favorite attribute of this case is the durability of the exterior material. It feels significantly tougher than most other products, and the uniqueness of having a much softer inner lining fits nicely with a phone. I also appreciate the contrasting color of the lighter inner lining. Also, the cutout around the fingerprint scanner is canted inward a bit until it gives way to the inner rubbery case. Unlike nearly every other case on the market, this one absolutely does not impinge on using the scanner. This is important, because I had issues with the one I used for my Nexus and eventually had to reset my fingerprints; not so for this case, but the scanner on the G7 is also much more forgiving of finger placement so it may be more an attribute of the phone than of the case. Nevertheless, I avoided competitors' products for this reason, because I've had those issues in the past.

Pu Leather is peeling away
The plastic that holds the phone started cracking and peeling away and now will no longer hold the phone in place. The Pu Leather is peeling everywhere. Cheap quality.
