I like the idea behind this press. However, it would be good to note in the advertisement that fresh, crunchy garlic cloves are a must in order to get maximum results. Any cloves that are even slightly soft will result in a lot of mashed garlic left underneath the masher. It'll still work, but not at optimum. I like it though and would recommend it.

I love this garlic press! It’s easy to use and clean- especially with the cleaning brush that comes with it.I was looking for a garlic press that will be easy to use without waisting half of the clove and without using a toothpick in order to clean it and this one is great for both.The garlic peeler is awesome, you simply roll the clove in it and without getting your fingers dirty you get perfectly peeled garlic.I never thought I’ll be so excited about garlic peeler.. highly recommend

This garlic press made things so much easier! In addition the garlic peeler they sent with it was amazing. So quick to use and much more gentle on my arthritic hands vs the old style squeeze press. I could use both hands to squish the garlic vs the old fashioned way. Saved time and made life easier for me in the kitchen!

I have trouble using the kind of garlic presses where you squeeze because my hands are weak. I was so excited to try this one out because I wouldn't have to squeeze. But it turns out that instead of a sharp bottom (which I expected), there is just smooth metal with holes. So you really have to press down hard in order to squeeze the garlic through the holes. I could barely crush the garlic at all. So this is useless for me. People with strong hand, wrists and arms might enjoy it. But I didn't find it better than the squeeze type of garlic presses.

I've had all kinds of garlic presses, but they either break or are difficult to use. This one let's me do more garlic (instead of the old hand press kind that you have to scrape the remainder out between cloves).The first time I used it, I thought it sucked and I was going to toss it. The second time, I got the hang of it. The rocking motion is key. Now I'm buying fresh garlic (which I love) instead of the pre chopped stuff in a jar.The mincing size is wonderful. For times I want chunkier, I will chop (but my knife skills are seriously lacking. It is very easy to clean (I just use a vegetable brush). There is nothing sticking out, like with a grater/zester that catches on to sponges and hides small particles.Of course, you do have to use pressure when pressing, but a little body weight behind it is way better than trying to squeeze with your hand. I got this particular one because it looked sturdier than others. It's held up well, and feels sturdy. I would not recommend putting it in the dishwasher though because the high heat can put a strain on any plastic.I haven't gotten the hang of the silicone tube to peel garlic and it is more difficult to clean, especially since the inside of the tube has rubbing. I prefer the whacking method with the flat of my knife and peeling it myself. Plus the silicone hangs onto the garlic smell.

I like how it's sturdy, and doesn't feel flimsy in my hand. There has to be firm pressure on the garlic to press it, and I feel like this presser can hold up to the challenge. I have found pressing and rocking a little stronger at the last of the garlic will get the rest of the garlic skin pressed. This is easy to clean as opposed to the cupped and squish kind of garlic presses. I'm glad I bought this garlic press.
