The pump doesn't work well.

Not recommended as a soap dispenser
This was an attractive product upon receipt, but the picture shows chrome dispenser tops and the products I received were gold--not my favorite, but tolerable. However, he gold quickly tarnished in the bathroom, and I've only used the product for 2 months. That said, the dispenser already sticks so much that I have to pry it up in order to squirt any liquid out. I am using them as "softsoap" dispensers so it is possible that they would work better with lotion, but I doubt it. Another issue I have is that within two weeks there was some weird black stuff that came out along with the soap. I assume that this is rust or something from the inside of the metal top...I cleaned it out by pumping a great deal of water through it to cleanse the pump and it seemed to help that problem. Overall, I am very disappointed in the product and would not recommend it for the price.
