Big Data Over Distance
I wanted to establish a secure connection with my router which sits at some distance from my computer. Eliminating the wireless is one less security risk, but my office desk sits in the center of the room and the router is located on a bookshelf some distance away. I did not want cabling running across the floor. Since I installed a 120v AC duplex floor box under my desk to bring power to what is essentially an island, I was able to run this Cat 7 cable through it, under the floor and up through a wall to the attic, over to the wall behind the bookcase and snake it through a box. So now, all one observes is a cable disappearing into the floor under my desk to reappear through a wall plate in the back of the top shelf of the bookcase and I'm not tripping over unsightly cabling running across the office floor. It's Cat 7, so speed is not an issue. The cable is well shielded and heavy enough that it withstood fishing it through the walls, though I did reinforce the plug by taping a plastic cap scrounged from a USB cable over it. Other than that, the installation went as planned. No issues. Great performance and my system is more secure. If I need to move around the house, I still have the wireless connection available.

Heavy gauge, cross-talk free
Excellent product, surpassed my expectations. The quality of the item, its feel, and the resistance to kinking and abrasion damage is superb. The tips are solid and the shielding of the entire cable (tips included) completely resolved all of the cross talk and interference my previous cables had. No problem running them in bundles in close proximity to one another or power lines and no feedback/static at the Power Over Ethernet (PoE) Box junction. I purchased a total of 8, all were uniform in size, quality, and performance. No variation or issues at all. The item was packaged in bulk packaging, no blister pack, so that helped avoid frustration and also avoids packaging cuts and dents in the cable that occurs with cables if this thickness and quality from competitors. The data stream ability of these cables was easily able to handle 4K/"ultra" quality images/data from IP camera systems and also an Xbox gaming system. There was little to no loss of quality or even a hint of reaching its full potential on my bandwidth tests. Really appreciated the level of quality at such a reasonable price.

I did test the cable before running it permanently just to be sure (and not waste unnecessary time)
Cable arrived on time as promised. Well packaged in a tight bundle, in a foil-backed vacuum sealed bag. But the cable wasn't bent or otherwise crimped as other retailers seem to do and consequently damage the cable for the consumer to discover on installation. I did test the cable before running it permanently just to be sure (and not waste unnecessary time), and it worked. I can't comment on specific speed tests as I don't have that kind of test equipment, but it did solve my high-speed streaming issue. The cable appears to be well made and fairly robust. Like some other reviewers stated, it is on the still side, but I think that is from the extra shielding and outer insulating/protective layer. No issues with the connectors clicking into place. Seems to do the job well and would buy it again if I need additional ethernet cable.

Better than CU cat7 cable
I purchased this cable a while ago to connect two gigabit routers to use the second as a wireless range extender and wired router/switch for my work vpn, which requires stability and speed. This cable worked extremely well for a year. I moved and need to use it in a similar situation, again it is working flawlessly. It maintains the speed and throughput from my Verizon FIOS router through to the wired devices at the second router. I needed to run a third router or gigabit switch, wired for 360, ps3, wii, dtv, etc. so I waited to purchase this again. No such luck, waited and waited, finally purchasing a cables unlimited 50ft white cat7 cable that is stiffer than a ten year old coaxial cable. It is a smaller diameter than the Rosewill, but much stiffer. Did not even hook it up. Will sell it used and wait for this to come back in stock. If you cannot wait, buy the cables unlimited version STP-7000-50W, but if you are not in a rush, wait to find this back in stock here at Amazon, or anywhere else. The Rosewill is worth the wait for long ethernet runs.

Quality Cables
High quality cables and well shielded. I would recommend these CAT 7 cable for anyone future proofing an installation, especially if the are cables pulled through wall or an attic.

would have been nice to see that before
lead warning. would have been nice to see that before purchase

Rosewill Cat7 perfect as far as I can tell.
Perfect condition. Nice color white. Clips on the ends are totally pro and fit flawlessly into my PC and router interfaces. Maxed my network speeds out. Does it function at 600Mhz or higher? I have no idea because I can't push anything that fast over the network. I think that faster than my hard drives can sustain. May be if I had two SSD's to transfer data between. Anyway...if it's faster than Cat6a (which seems to be harder to find than plain 6)then at this price you CAN NOT go wrong. I will be buying Rosewill cable for all my ethernet needs from now on. What a great deal.

I purchased 9 of the supposedly high quality Rosewill RCW-25-CAT7-BK ...
I purchased 9 of the supposedly high quality Rosewill RCW-25-CAT7-BK Ethernet network cables CAT 7 for extra high quality and shielding. Since I will be pulling the cables through the wall I believe in testing the cables first. I used my LinkMaster #62-200 cable tester on the first three cables I opened and each of the Rosewill cables failed the "Split Pair" test with either one or two failed pairs. I never saw a failure before on cables I purchased. (I only see failures on cables I try to make myself). Such a failure can cause network issues! I asked Rosewill for a full refund on all 9 cables and I don't plan to purchase any cables from Rosewill again unless they give me a proper explanation on what is causing the consistent failures. This would be an indication to me that Rosewill does not check every cable they make. I am assuming that Rosewill will give me a full refund else you can count on me editing this post with more details. NOTE: I might note that the CAT 7 Cables Unlimited STP-7000-25K Cat7 Shielded 600Mhz Patch Cables (25 feet, Black) all tested out without any failures.
