Henschel Walker, Full Grain Leather, Shapeable Brim, Braided Band

So far I’m really enjoying this hat, although I can’t say the same for my wife!😂 I purchased this hat as my camp/bushcraft hat to protect my bald head from the elements with a little bit of style to go along with it. I wanted to buy a hat that will last a lifetime and I believe this is the hat! It’s made of a good thick quality leather and I added some protection to help it survive in elements I plan on putting it through! I treated it with Obenauf's Heavy Duty LP Leather Conditioner Natural Oil Beeswax Formula that I also pitched here on Amazon! A friend of mine who is a leather expert recommended it!

I love the Henschel Walker, its actually a bit heavy due to the thick leather, smells great and fits perfect. My hat might just be a fluke with the thickness variation because its natural leather but it makes it one of a kind. over time this hat will change shape to fit your head more and develop a unique style, like Coyote's. It's also a bit darker in person, the picture is more of a weathered look in the image, personally I think they should update the post, so Ill post some more in-depth pictures for people thinking of buying this great hat. This is now my go to adventure hat!Pros: Nice leather smell, shapeable wire brim, stays on due to deeper top, water resistant.Cons: Leather thickness varies throughout hat creating very small inconsistencies.

This hat was my first purchase from the Henschel brand after having had several recommendations regarding their products. I absolutely love it, a hat that's well worth the money. The leather is of high quality and looks fantastic, the band/braiding around the base of the hat has a nice intricate design (though from what I can tell it is fastened in place, something worth considering if you're a person who often likes to change your hat bands around like myself) and the shapeable brim allows you to customise its look somewhat to your preference. It looks great, fits perfectly, it's solid and is undoubtedly made to last, one of the best hats I've personally ever bought, I would highly recommend!

This is probably the highest quality leather cowboy hat on the market. But the sizing is way off. I generally take an XL in hats and my own measurements agreed with the size chart here but the item I received was like two sizes too large! Would have exchanged it for a L but the price had increased in the interim so regretfully returned it.

It was very good. However, the size was a bit small.And I'm glad that the order was placed and that it arrived quickly.

There really isn't anything negative to say about this hat. It has gorgeous leather. Great style. I own both the brown and black versions. Countless people have come up to me asking "Where did you get that hat?" I'd bought a cheap version of this hat...and trust me, in every sense of the word, it was CHEAP. It wasn't a Henschel. It had a crappy cardboard feeling brim and was thin, stiff leather.This Henschel is supple and soft. It reeks quality so well you'll get questioned about it. I promise.

I had high hopes for this hat but I knew I was in trouble when the ups man gave me my leather hat in a bag. wow! I never got a hat in a bag and it was SMASHED. I tried to set the wire brim but it would not hold and I tried to shape the brim but the leather was too soft and made the hat a floppy one.. Definitely not the clint eastwood look! The leather seemed very nice but more suited to gloves than a hat. made in america to . I also followed the hat sizing and it was way too big.. WOW what s dreadful experience.. my hat search goes on good thing its cloudy My 9.00 straw hat i boughtr at a shell station is turning out to be my best hat purchase. I did give it 2 stars because the leather seemed very good maybe I just got a bad one but look out,

It runs a little small, but can be stretched out because it's leather. Do not wear it on a hot day, as it is not breathable. Absolutely LOVE this hat.

Edit: finalmente si cambie la talla por una mediana ya que el grande era demasiado grande, ya llego un año con el sombrero y es una maravilla, la piel la estoy tratando con un acondicionador y sigue como el primer día. Definitivamente es algo que va a durar muchos años mas, lo he mojado, he ido al calor, al frío y en cualquier situación es increíblemente cómodo.Es un excelente sombrero igual al de Coyote peterson, en mi caso el mediano me quedaba pequeño y el grande me queda un poco grande. Lo que me resultó muy bueno es meter el sombrero en agua fría durante tres minutos y después inmediatamente sacarlo al sol hasta que se seque completamente esto da como resultado que se encoja un poco el sombrero y aparte vuelve más dura la piel lo que le da más estabilidad.Tienes que acostumbrarte a usar un sombrero pesado como éste ya que si no estás acostumbrado al principio puede darte dolor de cuello pero es solamente un par de días.

Está genial. Luce tal como en la foto. Es cuero de excelente calidad. Huele a piel. Tal vez la desventaja sea el peso del sombrero que, por ser de cuero, es más pesado que un sombrero normal tejido. Pero compensa el que se ve muy bien.Las tallas es mejor buscarlas en el sitio de Henschel Walker. Por referencia el mediano es para unas 22.25 pulgadas. A mí me quedó justo y como es de piel va haciéndose un poco más grande con el uso, como le sucede a un zapato.Es mi primer sombrero de piel y estoy encantado con el. Varios me han dicho lo bonito que se ve. :)

I found it unbelievable how you can twist and shape the brimthe way you want it ...Nice and very soft material . We have family gigs and every year we celebrate our town andwe have country music all w-end so I will be proud to wear thisawesome hat ! Just love it !!!

I bought my first one at age 14, it still keeps. This is my second one, not because the old one needed replacement, but because I love them so much that a second colour seemed ideal. I could not recommend a better hat, nor better service from Henschel themselves. They responded to my enquiry in 5 minutes flat!

I had a really hard time deciding between black or brown...I think I want them both...I must resist temptation. I only need one hat...LOL!
