A perfect fit for my Ruger Gunsite Scout! Sturdy looking piece, came with the wrench, screws and the thread locker to install it. New scope should be here today and we'll field test them both together this weekend!Had to edit to add this: It has the larger than stock rear ghost ring sight. It seems to line up with my laser nicely but a visit to the range will tell all. Just what I wanted when I bought the rifle a year ago and ended up drilling the factory one out. So now with this rail I have the best of both worlds, ghost ring iron sights and a 50mm scope!Took the rifle out to the range to sight in the new scope and the iron sights on the new rail. My new scope bases came loose and left marks on the rail. My own fault for not double checking the base screws. I fired around 60 rounds of 7.62 NATO for sighting in the scope and the iron sights at 250 yards. was able to keep a 2.5 inch shot group. Iron peep sight had to be adjusted about 1/16th inch to the left and a turn down for zero. Simple adjustment with only the one allen wrench to carry. I highly recommend this rail! Was able to take down 2 feral hogs this week.

I think Ruger should have put this on the rifle from the factory. Makes it easy to mount any scope London or standard eye relief.

This fits right onto the Ruger Gunsite Scout both easily enough and securely enough to hold scope mounts that don't have OEM scope rings. It is worth noting it does reduce the clearance for access to the chamber - both to clear casing manually or forcefully ejecting rounds.

An old strand of barbed wire caught my boots and I hit the ground, landing on my scope. Thanks to the installed peep sight, I was still able to hunt. I may not have bagged a trophy buck last weekend, but there’s fresh pork in the freezer!

Absolutely fantastic! A must have if you own a Ruger scout. Others have said, "Ruger should put these on at the factory." I must say I completely agree! As far as people that said it did not line up, it must have been a fluke thing. The piece I received was exceptionally well made and the quality was top notch. I love the fact that they incorporated the iron sight and the fact that the iron sight is identical to the stock sight is great. It's fully adjustable for windge (same why the original sight is) as well as hight! I can't say enough good things about this product. Money well spent.

This solves a real shortcoming of the otherwise excellent Ruger Gunsite Scout rifle - the ability to easily mount and interchange optics. Having to mount a scope on the manufacture supplied rail limited selection and, typically, the field of vision of the scope. Placing a red dot sight on that rail worked, but did not allow for the use of magnifiers. This rail solves those problems and it has a handy ghost ring on it that works perfectly with the front sight on the rifle. Most Excellent. Highly Recommended.

I bought this sight rail so well that I bought three, a couple of years ago: my two sons and I each own a Gunsite Scout.My scope is solid and doesn't move, holds its zero. Before I mounted the scope, I rang the gong at 100 yards using the integral rear sight, right after I installed the rail.You'll like it.
