I took the advice insomeone else's review and ordered the larger size between the two I usually wear (large in this case) and washed it in warm water and ran it through the dryer for the perfect fit. I wore it without a petticoat as I found the skirt was nice and twirly without one. I am 5'0 even and usually a size 12-14 so the larger after running it through the wash was the perfect fit for me. I would say to anyone trying on them at home, make sure you notice the well hidden side zipper before trying to get into it - I accidentally tore mine at first bc I didn't see it and didn't un-do it before trying on the dress. Some minor needle repair fixed that issue (which was my own error). I would also suggest getting into the dress by putting it over your head and sticking your arms in the sleeve rather than feet first.

After trying to find an attractive dress for Easter in brick and mortar stores and failing, I stumbled on this while browsing Amazon. Oh my heck! I will be buying this dress again in different colors! I received so many compliments on it when I wore it on Sunday for Easter. The dress is very comfortable, I was able to move freely in it and not be afraid of it riding up showing off anything that shouldn't be shown in public! I ordered this and with Prime Shipping, received on Good Friday. It arrived folded in a plastic bag. I washed it in cool water and hit it here and there with a cool iron. Love, love, love it! And for the price, you can't go wrong! It's made with great quality fabric, nice and thick. I actually see this dress getting a lot of wear and just not hanging in the closet. It fits a little snug in the bust area and I'm only a 34B. I ordered a size medium and normally wear a size 10 in pants. I need to loose a couple of pounds and I think it will make it fit a little better as I have been kind of indulgent in the Easter candy! However, the snugness does not affect my love for the dress and I will be buying more of this dress and try a fewdifferent styles from the same company , I love it that much!

I've been buying a lot of these vintage dress imports, and I'm really surprised by the quality. I'm super picky, and I am always willing to pay more for quality. With this dress, I got a great price and great quality. I'm 5'10" tall, 200 lbs, with a small bust (38B) and a huge butt. I'm also 50+ years old, and although I think I'm really pressing the age suitability with this particular style, my fashionable teenage daughter loves this on me, and I usually embarrass her these days, so that's saying something. This dress only goes up to size XL, so I really didn't expect it to fit me. With most of the vintage import dresses of this type, my size is a 3X. In regular American sizes, I usually wear a 16/XL. I prefer size 18/1X because I like loose-fit clothing, but I usually can't fill out the bust section of an 18/1X. This dress in XL fits beautifully but not loosely. The dress goes just to the top of my knee, maybe a bit into the knee. My only caveat is that I can't see this dress working for anyone much larger than a C cup, unless you're ok with a very tight fit. Material is heavyweight and stretchy, so it hangs beautifully, isn't clingy, is comfy and doesn't require a slip, even the white one. Perfect for summer in humid and hot Chicago, and would work for casual work wear.

When I received this my daughter (22 years old) thought is was so cute she wanted one. The fit was right on according to the chart (I usually wear a 8/10 and the Large fit me very well). I had two problems with the dress: The first was the smell of the fabric. It had a bad chemical smell which may or may not have washed out. The second reason was the fabric was so thick. It was more like fabric used to cover outdoor pillows, so I knew it would be too thick and hot for me. I am a seamstress and thought it was sewed nicely except for the buttonholes which looked rather frayed after I unbuttoned the dress. So since I didn't keep it, my daughter may order one since she was not bothered so much by the smell and thickness of the fabric!

The size medium dress fits me wonderfully. I have purchased two of these dresses, one in blue polka dot and one in red polka dot.I like the half sleeve length and I like the skirt length, which falls a few inches below the knee. The hidden side zipper is truly hidden and the button placket lies flat and does not gap. The dress looks great when worn with a petticoat underneath. (I purchased the Vianla Women's 50s Vintage Rockabilly Petticoat, 26" Length Net Underskirt in black on Amazon, and it has worked well for me.)

Very cute dress but it absolutely will not fit anyone bigger than a "C" cup even if you order it larger than what you normally would wear. If you are small busted then this is the dress for you. It does also have a terrible smell to it. Lots of chemicals used or something.I am returning this Dress :(

I am attending a "Disneyland in the '60's" party and decided this dress would be perfect for early '60's if it fit properly. I am 5'8" tall, weigh about 185 pounds, have a 42" bust and somewhat heavy arms as well as a thicker waist than I had in my youth. I ordered based on bust size and crossed my fingers. It not only fit nicely, it is also slightly stretchy due to the spandex (which will also help reduce wrinkling after laundering). The very high cotton content makes it comfortable for summertime wear. I'll add a belt and one or two voile petticoats, a hat, handbag and pumps to complete the look.
