Meerkat Manor: Season 1

Love documentaries on this little Meerkats. Very interesting to watch.

Nice to have all the episodes of season one. Video quality is good, delivery packaging was well done. The only thing that would have been nice is some bonus material.

My class loves Meerkat Manor! The reason I didn't give a rating of 5? I ordered Season 1 but it was actually season 3. The container in which the disc came in said season 1, the dvd's even said season 1. But when it began to play it stated that it was season 3.

When I found this program on my cable provider it just made my day. I feel totally in love with The Meerkats and have orderedtwo DVD's. I am sad that the program in no longer filming but am so blessed that I have several DVD's to watch. I am havinga very serious surgery next week and I have ordered season 2 and also added Amazon Prime to be able to watch afterthe surgery. I know it sounds silly but having something I really enjoy to watch available for me is such a blessing.

Not everyone is going to like the Meerkat Manor series, but anyone who is even slightly an animal person will get hooked. Who knew these little guys had such distinct personalities? And they truly show us what's involved in being part of a family and the hard work and endurance it takes along the way. Start at the begin, give them a chance, and "The Whiskers" family and their rival clans at Meerkat Manor will (most likely) win you and your family over.

We started watching this as part of our grade 4 unit on habitats and communities. The kids love it and are completely engaged in the lives if the Whiskers family. Along the way they have learned a lot about food chains and webs, animal adaptations, predators and prey, and so much more. We continue to watch it, even as our unit draws to a close, at nutrition breaks sometimes or as a PAT time activity.
