I have a home office in the basement and sometimes it's hard to tell if I'm on a conference call just listening or if I'm talking to someone on the phone. I didn't want a chalkboard or dry erase board on my door so these hanging signs were perfect. The price is a steal for the fact that there are 5 different status messages....and the blank one can be used with an adhesive scratch paper for a note or something. Other reviews said the paper isn't card stock or plastic. But it's fine for me. I don't expect to get super high usage/wear & tear on them.My little table is opposite my office door in this weird entry way. So when my husband comes down the stairs and looks to the left, he can see my sign and decide if he wants to pop in or send me a text instead, depending on my availability. (the door shown in the pic is the bathroom. My office door is to the right inside the entry way). The thing I use to hang my signs? A banana holder/stand!

We are very pleased with these Door Hangers. They have a very hard plastic coating, and they will solve a problem we had with our most recent cruise. The ship did not have the typical Do Not Disturb/Please Make Room signs. This made it very awkward, because sometimes we left our cabin for 3 hours and upon return the Cabin Steward said he thought we were still in there. Other times we wanted to take an afternoon nap and he would knock on the door and say he thought we were gone. We asked if we could get a door hanger so we could communicate better, and he said the ship had none. We had been on this same ship earlier this year and they had door hangers then. But he may be right, because we noticed no one had signs on their doors as we walked down the corridors. Either way with these sturdy door hangers we are prepared for our next trip.

Not compatible with Dry Erase markers...Though it is "plastic over paper" writing a message using a Dry erase marker will not work. I tested on my "Do Not Disturb" sign to see if I could wipe it off, well..you can't very well. I then did try to scrub using a mild scour pad with mild warm water and it will scratch the plastic finish.But for $5, I mean, I don't care. Overall it works, I just went ahead and made the message over top the scratched finish and let her fly.Just thought others should know if they want to use dry erase markers, they are not compatible....I did not test wet erase markers..

These suit my purpose and are just what I needed for my home office, when I'm on a video conference and don't want family barging in. Yes, they are lightweight as others have said, but are made well and look professional. I don't think I'll be handling them all that much, so they should last long enough. Even though it said I would not get them for 7-10 days, they arrived within 4. I'm happy with these and may purchase other products from this small business.

This is a quality product delivered before delivery date. I bought this because my wife can not say "hey I am taking a nap" And I always wind up waking her up. Why because I don't freakin know. Now I will no longer get undeserved evil look when I awaken her. Great product! I am sure it could have plenty of more uses. Specially like the blank one where she can write in what she wants!

Definitely as described, however this is a single step-up from printing these myself. The paper is nice for sure, but they sure are flimsy. I don't expect them to last very long. But they were $1.50 + shipping so you get what you pay for. I'd have paid more for a little laminate sleeve that would have given these a bit more structure.

I really liked the colorful, simple design. The material was basically paper that was smoother and heavier than computer paper—not the most long-lasting, but they haven't broken for me yet.

I ordered these and at this price was a litle worried they would act a bit like cardboard and bend easily. They look great, and the lamination makes for a great door tag you can take on and off. I appreciate that one of them (white) has a blank side.
